Warranty Terms & Conditions

  1. Issues relating to comfort choice (i.e. mattress is too soft/too firm). Comfort is a feel choice and is not considered a manufacturing fault. Beds in Showroom floors often slightly different to new products; a new mattress can take up to 4 – 6 weeks to settle.
  2. Issues relating to heat are not considered a manufacturing fault. Mattresses do not generate heat however; different mattresses have different heat dispersing qualities.
  3. The warranty is constant for the designated period of the guarantee and covers defects in workmanship and materials. Fair wear and tear, abuse, misuse or negligence during the period is not covered by warranty.
  4. During the guarantee period, Crown Posture Bedding reserves the right to choose to repair or replace any product that, on inspection, is found to be faulty.
  5. Transportation during the first 12 months is the responsibility of the manufacturer and is also fully covered by this warranty, however after that period any transportation will be met by the purchaser. Charges are as follows:
    1. Local – $70 + GST each way
    2. Rural – Price on Application
  6. This warranty is only available to the original purchaser and cannot be passed on to another consumer.
  7. Crown Posture Bedding reserves the right to refuse service when the product is found on inspection to be in an unsanitary condition or, when the product failure is due to causes other than defective workmanship or materials.
  8. Crown Posture Bedding reserves the right to substitute material of equal quality on the particular items being repaired or replaced if identical material is not available at the time of the repair or replacement.
  9. If the mattress is used directly on a slatted divan or the slats are greater than 100mm (4”) apart, then damage may occur to the mattress and this damage will not be covered by this warranty. We suggest slats should be made of 20mm thick hard wood or 35mm thick pine. Also, the slats must be firm and supportive to reduce the chances of damage to the mattress.
  10. When the Crown Posture Bedding mattress is used on a padded and covered Crown Posture Bedding wooden slatted divan the mattress is fully covered by this guarantee. We recommend you use a specially designed matching Crown Posture Bedding base.
  11. Micro quilting stitching coming undone is inherent in this industry. It will not affect the performance of the bed and as such is not covered by this guarantee.
  12. Legs or castors must be kept tight. Damage caused by not keeping these tight is not covered by this guarantee.
  13. It is Crown Posture Bedding’s aim to have your mattress repaired on the same day, however, when this is option is not available, it is the consumer’s responsibility to find alternative sleeping arrangements as we do not loan mattresses.
  14. Turning your mattress: The mattress should be turned monthly as stipulated in the care instructions of this document.
  15. Body impressions up to 40mm are normal in a new mattress/bed and are not considered to be a manufacturing fault.
  16. Handles: Where handles are sewn into the mattress, these are to be used purely as balancing agents and should never be used to lift the mattress. These are not covered by this guarantee.
  17. Pillow Tops: A pillow top is built to give the sleeper an extra layer of gentle comfort. Because it is not under construction pressure it will stretch and mould to the body’s shape. It is usual to see deeper body impressions in pillow tops up to 40mm and this is not considered a fault.
  18. Mattress Protector: We recommend that you always use a mattress protector, however if spoilage occurs, then apply perchloroethylene or white spirits to remove the spill, allow the mattress to dry in the shade and not in direct heat or sunlight. Dry-cleaning must be undertaken on any stained mattress before any serviced will be considered.
  19. Where a bed is pushed against a wall, we recommend that you rotate the base every two months otherwise wear and tear will occur on one side only creating an uneven sleeping area.
  20. Any mattress/base relocated after the initial delivery to your home that is damaged as a result of that move will not be repaired under warranty. Crown Posture Bedding can repair the damage at a cost.
  21. When a mattress or base has been damaged in storage, it is not considered a fault. Crown Posture Bedding can repair the damage at a cost.
  22. Original receipt must be available for viewing at time of service.
  23. Do not sit on your mattress/bed. Your bed is built specifically for sleeping. If you use it as a chair, then you will get side collapse and or severe depressions and considerable wear on the pads/fillings on the edge of the mattress.
  24. All mattresses are inspected before they can be returned for any service that may be deemed necessary.
  25. An inspection will be carried out between 2 – 6 weeks upon receipt of the Customer Service Form depending on where the mattress/base is situated.
